Marco Carneiro - Artistic Consultant

Marco Carneiro is steadily becoming a recognizable young professional in the arts.

In addition to his work as a performer, Marco is often found working behind the scenes, and he continues to accept the challenge of honing his skills in this area. After serving as the music director Framingham State College’s production of Little Shop of Horrors, Marco joyfully returned as Adjunct Staff to conduct their performances of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in April 2009. Shortly thereafter, he continued his work with the much acclaimed chamber ensemble Guerilla Opera to present the world premiere of Marti Epstein’s Rumpelstiltskin. He serves on the company's administration while also managing their productions. In June 2009, Marco joined the administrative staff of the notable SongFest program in Malibu, CA.

As an advocate for arts education, the accessibility of the arts, and the promotion of performing arts personnel, Marco founded the Boston Stage Company in 2007. In addition to his duties as the Artistic Director, he directed the company’s February 2009 production of The Diary of Anne Frank which made "the familiar new again" (TheaterMirror). In 2010, he will again join the company's directorial staff as the director for a New England Regional Premiere of the Satori Group's iLove:
